The countries most affected by cyber criminals are the United States, China and the Netherlands. In fact, 27% of global attacks hit the US, 19% the Asian giant and 4% Holland.According to the data released today by the Global Threat Intelligence Report 2018 published by the NTT Group, Ransomware has gone from representing the 1 % of global malware in 2017 to make up around 7%. The report also shows that the Ransomware incident response rate fell from 22% of accidents in 2016 to around 5% in 2017. Professional services entered the list of the top five industrial sectors hit globally in third place at 10% The gaming sector was the most targeted by ransomware in 2017 with 20%, followed by business and professional services with 17%, health care and manufacturing sector both at 12% and technology at 11%. Finally, financial services (18%) and health services (15%) were the two sectors that most often sought help to respond to attacks.
